Pre-requisites

Learning Objectives

To be selected for this course a learner should be able to…

  • Complete Step 3 of CYF Introduction to Programming or JS2 of the pre-2025 SDC
  • Map 5 fundamental elements of SAP Financial Accounting to their business purposes
  • Analyse provided transaction data using spreadsheet functions

Preparatory materials will be given and then the following exercises will be given to access the track:

Identify the core components of SAP Financial Accounting by correctly mapping 5 fundamental elements (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Assets, and Controlling) to their business purposes, using a provided scenario about a company’s monthly financial activities.

Create a pivot table from transaction data to show total amounts by cost centre and count of transactions, using provided SAP-like data.

Our goal is to find people who are ready to join a team and hit the ground running. This means we are looking for people ready to begin working as an IT professional within the next 8 weeks. This is why we are looking at your ability to:

  • 🎯 Work in a team to identify, manage, and fix technical problems
  • 🎯 Document your changes in specified technical formats
  • 🎯 Explain your work to others in English

These are the core goals of the Track.
